How to Visualize: A Guide to Creative Visualization – Football players do it, Wrestlers do it, Olympians do it…. They all visualize winning the game, the match, or the gold medal prior to even competing in the determining event. Marelisa outlines the process of creative visualization and provides many great resources as well.

Don’t Change Your Job – Change Your Mind – We have all heard “Look before you leap” but when it comes to being happy in our professional career of choice that same frame of thought applies. Christine sits down and helps one of her friends brainstorm and explore ways to help him organize and prioritize in order to bring back the sense of power and get rid of the mud he felt stuck in!

An Open Letter to Facebook – Tamar lays it out on the table. No frills, no sugar to sweeten it, no fluff. It’s cut and dry. She provides Facebook some constructive criticism on some major complaints on their services, TOS, and their lack of common sense features (like the search box to go through fans of your page).

A Very Expensive Cat Chair – Shadow is going to be the most envied cat in the neighborhood!

Five common (personal) blogging problems and how to fix them – This is a comprehensive article that lists out some pretty helpful tips on how to avoid 5 common blogging problems. A must read for any blogger out there!!

How to appropriately and graciously say “no.” – It is ok to say no BUT there is a good way to go about it and a not so good way to go about it. Here are 8 great tips to keep in mind or use when saying no, graciously.

Favorite video: Analyzing your competitors – It’s always a good practice to know what your competitors are doing. Aaron shares a great video on how to take what your competitors are doing and devise a plan to surge pass them.

  • Hi Heather,

It was a bank holiday here in the UK last weekend and I unplugged for a few days, so it’s only today, Thursday, that I’m catching up on both myself and my weekend reading!

Another terrific list of posts here. I liked both Marelisa’s post on creative visualisation. I thought she went into excellent detail on “how to”. I also enjoyed Mack Collier’s post on common blogging problems.

Thanks so much for continuing to give us all something to stretch the imagination in lots of different directions. I feel honoured to have been included again on your list.

    Take care!

  • @Christine – Like I said on Twitter, these reading lists for me were fun and a way to incorporate all the things I save on StumbleUpon into my blog. I thought I was soooo unique. I am glad to see more and more people coming out with these lists, it makes Friday’s a little fun!

  • @Aaron – I could not help but notice that you are heading out of town (or are out of town) for your Anniversary. Happy Anniversary! Now since you are not coming back on the 8th… are you going to take a sneak peek at weekend reading tomorrow or are you going to wait. LOL
