Smart Kids (& Marketers) Never Get Bored – This is a really smart way of discussing a rather serious topic. How do you keep marketing fresh? How do you keep both yourself and your clients interested in what you have to say and offer? In Lisa’s words, “Good marketers don’t get bored, they get creative”.
Nap Time for Grown-ups – What an idea! Taking a nap! This article helps remind us to slow down, take a breather, and take a nap. With a few reminders and pointers on how to take a nap and the tools required to have a successful nap this read reassures me that it is ok to doze off on lazy Sundays…. =)
Blogging – Have A Plan? Or Fly By The Seat Of Your Pants? – Barbara raises a good question; do you plan out each topic you blog about or do you just let the content flow? She leaves us with the task of answering the question “Do you have a long term plan for your blog?” It is a good question considering there are quite a few abandoned blogs floating around out there!
The Fantastic Photography of Clark Little – The closer we get to summer the more I think about relaxing on an empty beach watching the waves roll in. Here are some amazing photos to help out in a pinch when the ocean is not available!!
If You’re Sitting on the Sidelines, Whose Fault is That? – This is a great, stop-blaming-others post. Danielle Keister, the Gritty VA, tells it like it is. If you’re not commenting and joining in on the conversation, it’s no one’s fault but your own. Stop blaming the ones who do for your lack of involvement.
7 QuickBooks Shortcuts to Save Time – I’m always looking for ways to save time and this is a great list of shortcuts if you’re using Quickbooks to do your bookkeeping.
The Grocery Store Walk of Shame – I just recently discovered the wonderfully amusing blog of Junk Drawer from one of Barbara Swafford’s posts, Google Isn’t God. I love Kathy’s topics and writing style. This post really made my day.
8 ways to destroy sales objections BEFORE they are asked – Aaron offers some excellent ways to address objections that potential clients may have. Start creating “objection destroying content” today!

Excellent stuff. Love the Grocery Store Walk of Shame! haha; a great piece of writing. Lisa’s Never Get Bored post always delivers, too, and it was one of those blogs that make you want to shout out your own agreement.
Thanks for linking to my post!

I haven’t taken a nap in years! I don’t think I know how to slow down anymore.

As usual, your list doesn’t fail to deliver interesting and thought-provoking stuff, Heather.
I particularly enjoyed Blogging – Have a Plan? and If You’re On The Sidelines Whose Fault is That? Balancing a plan for your blog, with enjoying the sheer fun of it, is what it’s all about for me. And, I just love taking part in online conversation, so find it a bit difficult to sympathise with those who don’t participate and then whinge about not getting comments. Hmmm!
Christine Livingston´s last blog ..Don’t Change Your Job – Change Your Mind
Hi Heather,
You’re such a sweetheart for including my post in your weekend reading. I was looking at some of the others you listed and see I have some clicking to do. They look fascinating.
Thank you again.

@Barbara – Rarely a week goes by where you are not on my weekend reading
Great stuff!
@Christine – Difficult isn’t it? A catch 22. However, I agree entirely. I am quite frustrated when I take the time out to engage with a blogger yet they do not reply to a question I may pose in my comment!
@Vered – I do from time to time, thought it is not common practice. Yesterday though I took a cat nap around 4pm and felt much better to prepare dinner and finish unpacking.
@Aaron – We need to rename weekend reading to ‘Aaron’s Library!’
